This Privacy Policy describes what personal information Cute Apple collects, how we use it, and the choices you have — including information collected about children that a parent or guardian adds to their own account.
1. Information we collect
Account information: name, email, phone number, and country, collected at sign-up and verified via one-time codes or Google Sign-On.
Identity verification: government ID images and a selfie, submitted voluntarily to earn a verification badge. These are stored securely and reviewed by admin staff.
Family and child information you choose to add to your family profile, playdates, and safety checklists.
Location information for finding nearby families and playdates, at the precision you choose in your privacy settings (exact, approximate, or hidden).
Payment information for donations, auction bids, playdate cost-splitting, and service bookings — handled by Stripe. Cute Apple never sees or stores full card numbers.
Usage information such as device and log data, needed to keep the platform working and secure.
2. How we use it
To operate core features: verified matching, playdates, messaging, service bookings, donations, and the art auction.
To keep the community safe: identity verification, moderation, and responding to safety reports.
To process payments and send related receipts and notifications.
To communicate with you about your account, and — only where you've consented, including via the cookie banner on this site — for analytics or marketing purposes.
3. Who we share it with
Service providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments), our email and SMS providers, and our hosting provider. We don't sell personal information.
Other users, but only what your privacy settings allow — for example, an abbreviated bidder name on a public auction bid history, or your profile visibility to connections.
Authorities, where required by law or to protect a child's safety.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cute Apple uses essential cookies to keep you signed in (httpOnly session cookies) and, only if you accept them via the cookie banner, non-essential cookies for analytics or marketing. See our Cookie Policy at /cookie-policy for details and how to change your choice.
5. Children's information
Cute Apple accounts are for adults. Information about children is added and controlled by their parent or guardian's account, and child-profile visibility defaults to the most private setting. Parents can review or remove their child's information from their account settings at any time.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information through your account settings, or by contacting us at cuteapple.org/contact. You can adjust discovery, location-sharing, and messaging permissions at any time in Privacy Settings.
7. Data retention and security
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal and safety obligations afterward. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted transport and restricted access to identity-verification documents.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be flagged on this page with an updated date.
